The Rozgar.work is Microsoft’s online platform, which will provide unemployed people in Pakistan with proper career guidance, job matching, up-skilling, and mentorship. All these opportunities are now available online, through the same portal. It aims at bringing you the best possible resources to fight the increasing rate of unemployment in Pakistan.
The launching ceremony was held at Serena Hotel, Islamabad. The platform is powered by Microsoft Windows Azure Cloud, SharePoint 2013, and SQL. The initiative has been taken to create a complete ecosystem to support the hidden talent of Pakistani youth, enhancing their skills, and ensuring a better future. Microsoft Pakistan’s Country General Manager, Nadeem Malik, said that Microsoft believed in sharing our success with the communities, wherever we operate. Federal Minister, Ahsan Iqbal, while speaking to the ceremony said that it is heartening to see technology king working on youth development in Pakistan with the robust humanitarian firm like ‘World–Vision International-Pakistan’.
Leveraging technology can help expand social-development outreach like never before. Smartphone penetration and increased connectivity can transform e-Learning & teaching resources while opening fresh avenues of knowledge for the masses. We need to invest in our youth, to meet national challenges.
This employability platform hopes to nurture the essential ingredients for the development of workforce helping the young people in becoming employed. The Platform has implemented a distinctive approach by offering ‘Career Counseling and Guidance’ with information related to the kind of jobs available in the market. It will also provide mentorship along with training for developing hard and soft skills. The ‘Entrepreneurial Resources’ section of the website focuses on enhancing business skills. The ‘Networking Opportunities’ part of the online platform is for helping the youth in expanding their community-based networking capabilities. Rozgar.work is also offering extensive online and offline training courses for different skills – focusing on specific target groups.
